Speaker A:And before we go on, I would like to tell you why we decided to do this.
Speaker A:This podcast is for people who love music.
Speaker A:And for me, music is never just music.
Speaker A:Music is therapy.
Speaker A:It's memory.
Speaker A:I mean, you just hear a song and it takes you back to a certain time in your life.
Speaker A:Just like When I Hear a by David o'.
Speaker A:Plea.
Speaker A:Just takes me back to high school.
Speaker A:My first heartbreak in SS1.
Speaker A:Turns out she wanted designers, she wanted the Ferrari.
Speaker A:It was never about my love.
Speaker A:See what I did there?
Speaker A:So music is memory.
Speaker A:I mean, for some people, identity.
Speaker A:And the people who make music have seen and probably felt things most people haven't heard about.
Speaker A:And that's why we decided to do this.
Speaker A:But here's the thing.
Speaker A:Most interviews are too long, too surface, or too filtered.
Speaker A:And we wanted to create something tighter, something honest, something sharp.
Speaker A:And we came up with this.
Speaker A:So all we're just asking for is five minutes of your time.
Speaker A:And I assure you, it's going to be an amazing, amazing experience.
Speaker A:We'll be having conversations with artists, producers, ARs, and people who have shaped and are shaping today's sound.
Speaker A:Remember, all in five minutes or less.
Speaker A:So right now, I'd like you to know who's behind the mic.
Speaker A:Obviously, you know my name.
Speaker A:I'm a producer songwriter, and I graduated from the University of Calabar, Nigeria.
Speaker A:And you might think I studied music, but no, I didn't.
Speaker A:I studied French.
Speaker A:And yes, you heard that, right?
Speaker A:Bonjour.
Speaker A:Bonjour.
Speaker A:Comment allez vous?
Speaker A:Je suis vraiment content de vous parlez.
Speaker A:I do tell people that French is so easy, very romantic.
Speaker A:And it's, as I said, very easy.
Speaker A:To learn.
Speaker A:All you need to.
Speaker A:To have or know is the accent.
Speaker A:Just know how to just know the accent.
Speaker A:You look beautiful.
Speaker A:Sorry, I'm.
Speaker A:I'm very dramatic.
Speaker A:I'm very, very dramatic.
Speaker A:But yeah, it's.
Speaker A:It's not hard.
Speaker A:Trust me.
Speaker A:So I'm the first of three.
Speaker A:All boys, by the way.
Speaker A:And I'm a preacher's kid.
Speaker A:My dad's a pastor, my mom's a pastor.
Speaker A:And you should know, in every typical preacher's family, one person should know how to play a musical instrument.
Speaker A:At least one person.
